LUNI LOMBOK

Love the unwanted, neglected, and ill-treated

Trap-Neuter-Return

One of our most important projects are our pop-up TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) clinics to help control the growing stray cat population in Lombok. Our pop-up clinics are currently held regularly on the islands of Gili Meno and Gili Air. We hope to expand to North Lombok soon!

Since August 2022, we’ve been providing sterilisation in our permanent veterinary clinic on Gili Trawangan, helping the island’s cat population on a daily basis.

TNR Process:

  1. Cats are caught either by hand, trap, or net.
  2. Cats are registered and transported to the clinic.
  3. Cats are sedated. Then the surgery will be done and their ear will be tipped. Pain relief and antibiotics will be provided.
  4. Cats are boarded in our clinic for recovery until they are ready to be released.
  5. Cats are released at the same spot they were found!

Support Us

We are extremely thankful for your kind contribution, and even the smallest donation amount counts. This will go a long way towards our efforts to help the island animals with sterilisation, food, free medical treatments, and rescue and rehabilitation.

Did you know?

In 16 months, 1 unspayed cat can lead to 32 more street cats!

Cats breed incredibly fast and LUNI Lombok steps in to help by carrying out TNR efforts as one of the main pillars of our work.

LUNI Lombok’s vision is that the animals of the Gilli Islands, Lombok, can live happily and healthily in harmony with the community.

Any donation (but please consider a monthly recurring donation) will help us greatly to help the animals through our 5 goals of:

1) Food, water and shelter

2) Sterilisation and vaccination

3) Veterinary care

4) Rescue and rehabilitation

5) Education and support
